Description

This Herb Ellis ES-165 is a modern take on the classic single-pickup ES-175. It’s equipped with a warm, PAF-inspired humbucker in the neck position, delivering that smooth jazz tone the model is known for. Just like the original ES-175, it features a 16" laminated maple body with a Florentine cutaway, a 24.75" scale mahogany neck, and a bound rosewood fingerboard adorned with double parallelogram inlays. Classic volume and tone controls keep it simple and elegant.

With nearly three decades of play, this guitar shows honest wear — a testament to its well-loved history. It’s currently set up with flatwound strings for a beautifully full, balanced tone and a silky smooth playing experience.
