This 1952 Gibson ES-5 in a Natural finish stands as a well-kept example of the model’s early run, with tasteful updates that reflect a long playing life. The original body finish shows beautiful checking throughout, with the only significant cosmetic wear being indentations from the bridge feet. The neck has been refinished and re-fretted, and it features several modifications: an un-original oversized jack plate, replaced truss rod cover, newer pickup covers, a replaced saddle, and a previously relocated strap button hole that’s been plugged. The three original P-90s remain intact, offering the unmistakable clarity and midrange presence these guitars are known for.
