These non-reverb Blackface models are much rarer than their counterparts but sacrifice nothing in performance. Though they have slightly less gain, with only two stages instead of three, their breakup remains just as warm and tasteful. This one has held up well over the years, showing moderate signs of wear, likely indicating this went on the road at some point. It has stayed mostly original, with only the typical updates like the power cord and electrolytic caps. Otherwise, all of the preamp components are still original, including all of the original "Blue Molded" Ajax coupling caps. One snubber cap was added to the tremolo circuit, likely to help with ticking. The Fender-labeled Eminence speaker might not seem very exciting but actually provides a surprisingly accurate '60s Jensen sound. All in all, this is an excellent-sounding non-reverb Blackface amp!
