The fourth iteration of the Mark series introduced several useful functional improvements, most notably independent controls for three separate channels. This was Mesa’s first true 3-channel amp, predating the Rectifier series and debuting in 1990. It’s a genuine Swiss-army knife of tones, all while retaining the qualities that made the earlier Mark-series amps so beloved. This particular amp features the Simul-Class power section, combining 6L6 & EL34 power tubes for a more nuanced sound.
This example is in fantastic shape—about as clean as a 30-year-old amp can reasonably be, showing minimal signs of previous use. Internally, everything remains original, and the speaker is a newer OEM MC-90 Black Shadow Celestion. Another welcome feature is the factory casters, making for easy transportation.
