The Martin D-35 is sometimes overlooked by players who focus on the D-28 made famous by so many popular musicians and playing styles. The D-35 is an instrument that should be regarded as a huge contributor to not only the Martin dreadnought lineup, but also the construction of acoustics across time. This example is a phenomenal instrument that has the rich tonal characteristics of Brazilian Rosewood with amazing clarity. Every note shimmers with a pleasant higher register that compliments the full sound. Martin has a consistency that rivals other manufacturers, while the 60's are not heralded as a their golden years, this instrument sits near the top of the heap for late 60's Martin dreadnoughts. It is in remarkable condition, with the only repairs being a refret, a shimmed nut, a replaced saddle, a neck reset, re-glued binding at the waist, a replaced pick guard, a re-glued bridge, and top overspray. It plays beautifully with low action and delivers a rich and balanced tone.
