This 1974 Martin D-28 is a well-preserved example of the model’s enduring legacy, retaining all of its original components save for an added strap button. The Sitka spruce top and Indian rosewood back and sides produce the balanced, powerful voice that has made the D-28 a benchmark for dreadnought tone. It has also received a bridge plate saver and a maple cleat for a B-string crack, both done to ensure its structural integrity without altering its character. Additionally, a new nut has been installed. Its full, open sound is matched by a comfortable neck profile characteristic of the era. Cosmetically, it remains in really great condition with only a few spots of wear and tear.
Includes modern Martin hard shell case.
