A gorgeous pearly top 0/Parlor with a full and rich tone. One of the best sounding small body Martins from the 20s that we've encountered, and the 42-style appointments let it stand out just as much visually as sonically. Don't let the small body size fool you, this guitar is loud and open sounding. Only 39 0-42 Martins were made in 1924, and this one might be the most attractive example. It appears to have an old and very light overspray to the top that's main focus was to keep the pickguard area from being completely raw. It has had a bridgeplate replacement by Gruhn's (it is small maple one that withstands steel string tension) and they also reglued the bridge and gave it a neck reset. Craftsmanship (attention to detail and choice of woods) doesn't get much better than a pearl bound Martin. Comes in original hardshell case.
