The 100-watt Marshall requires no formal introduction, having been a cornerstone of the rock and roll sound for over 50 years. This 1976 example follows the trend of many '70s Marshalls, with a power transformer that yields slightly lower plate voltage, resulting in a bit less output and a somewhat tamer response in the aggressive top end.
It's remarkably close to all original, with the only changes being the power diodes, bias caps, bias feed resistors, and one cathode resistor in the preamp. Otherwise, the circuit remains original, including the infamous "mustard" coupling caps. Please see the circuit photos for further details.
The amp is in fabulous condition for its age, showing minimal signs of previous wear, and is about as clean as a vintage amp gets before being called mint!
Despite being fully functional the buyer should note this amp has original filter caps. While many amps are run this way for years without issue, anyone planning on prolonged or regular gigging use would be advised to have it serviced.
