The Jim Kelley Line Amp represents the culmination of decades of development, designed to capture the harmonic structure and feel of an overdriven push-pull power section within the preamp section. The two-channel design pairs Jim’s classic non-reverb preamp on Channel A with a dedicated overdrive Channel B, offering everything from big, articulate cleans to rich, harmonically complex drive at manageable volumes. Dual-concentric Gain, Treble, and Bass controls provide extensive tone shaping, along with a pull Mid Boost and footswitchable gain boost.
The power section utilizes Jim Kelley’s traditional matched quartet of 6V6s, while a transformer-coupled effects loop makes it especially friendly with modern reverb, delay, and other time-based effects. Like Jim’s earlier designs, it combines a deceptively straightforward layout with an enormous amount of tonal flexibility.
Finished in stunning grey suede with a 1x12 combo format, this is an exceptionally rare example of Jim Kelley’s later work and the culmination of an amplifier concept he spent more than 35 years refining! It also comes with a heavy-duty road case
