In 1968 Gibson offered the first, "Reissue" Les Paul. They brought back the goldtop that year and all sorts of conjecture followed with it. "They're made from leftover '50s bodies." "The pickups are from an old box of P-90s they had laying around since Ike was President." All sorts of conspiracy theory follows these guitars. We're not too sure about any of this but one thing we are sure of, this '68 Les Paul Standard is a killer guitar. It is, for the most part, all original. The tuners have been changed to Schaller Deluxe models (a favorite of Duane Allman) and the bridge saddles have been changed to graphite models. The original tuners and saddles are in the case. This guitar features a big, well shaped neck. It's in excellent condition and it sounds great. It comes with the original hang tag as well. The guitar comes in its original rectangular Gibson hard case.
