This 2023 Gibson Les Paul Standard combines the classic design with the rather uncommon Oxblood. The color carries a certain historical significance within the Les Paul world, giving the guitar a different visual identity than the more familiar bursts and goldtops. Its carved maple top, mahogany body, and set-neck construction retain the elements that have remained central to the model for decades.
This example has been fitted with a set of Slash Burstbucker Alnico II pickups, replacing the original electronics and offering a different take on the classic PAF-inspired formula. Additional changes include replacement saddles, replacement knobs, and a removed pickguard. Condition remains good overall, with several small dings on the top and light scrapes on the back from regular use. The combination of the Oxblood finish and player-focused modifications gives this Les Paul Standard a truly distinct character.
