Description

This ’58 Reissue has been carefully and tastefully refurbished by Lays Guitar Shop of Akron, Ohio, resulting in a guitar that closely captures the look, feel, and spirit of an original 1958 Les Paul. Upgrades include a vintage-style lacquer finish with authentic-looking checking and a Brazilian rosewood fingerboard, bringing the instrument remarkably close to period-correct specifications.
The neck plays beautifully and is carved slightly slimmer than many ’58 reissues, making it exceptionally comfortable while still retaining a substantial vintage feel. The guitar is also pleasantly lightweight, contributing to a lively and responsive playing experience.
Tonally, it is wide open and versatile, offering excellent clarity, depth, and harmonic richness while delivering plenty of aggression and authority when pushed. The refinish has been executed with great care, giving the guitar a remarkably original and convincing vintage appearance.
Includes the original hardshell case (OHSC), Certificate of Authenticity (COA), and the original Lays receipt.
