This 1953 Gibson Les Paul Standard Goldtop has seen some meaningful work over the years, but remains a solid example of an early LP with plenty of character and tone intact. The neck has been reset for improved playability, with a clean overspray and partial refinish that blends well with the original finish. It's been refretted for smoother playability, and a few electronic components have been replaced over time, though the core of the guitar still retains its original feel and voice. The carved maple top and mahogany body deliver that familiar mid-forward growl, with a warm, woody resonance that only comes with age. A well-played and well-preserved, lightweight vintage Les Paul that’s been kept functional without losing its soul.  Comes with the OHSC.
