The Deluxe was a step up in design for the Les Paul when it was introduced. The Deluxe was crafted with a pancake body, consisting of a thin strip of maple "pancaked" between two blocks of mahogany. Gibson also started to introduce maple into the construction of the neck along with changing out the pickups for mini humbuckers. These changes resulted in the iconic Les Paul Deluxe.
This guitar has a few blemishes, repairs and modifications. A previous owner added an extra output jack with a mini switch to swap between them. The bridge and tailpiece were also replaced along with knobs. There are a few more repairs listed in the description.
