Despite undergoing extensive repairs, it embodies everything that makes Gibson guitars from this era highly sought after and desirable. It produces a loud, clear, and deep sound with beautiful note separation, making it perfect for both flatpicking and strumming. To restore its vitality, the guitar has had the following repairs: a neck reset, replaced bridge, saddle, and bridge pins, approximately six back cracks repaired with six cleats, a replacement oversized bridge plate (~1/8" thick), two top cracks at the base of the bridge repaired with one cleat, traces of previously installed tuners, and period-correct tuners installed. This guitar has perfect action, providing smooth playability across the entire neck, and is ready to make music for years to come.
