The famous slope-sholder model was introduced in August of 1942 and has been a fixture in the Gibson catalog ever since. The model transitioned from the traditional tobacco sunburst finish to a cherry sunburst in late 1961. This example had an adjustable bridge that has since been replaced with a new adjustable bridge. It has had the normal neck reset, re-fret, and new nut as well, with a bridge plate overlay installed to stabilize a bridge plate crack and a hole patched in the side of the guitar. It has also had an L.R. Baggs soundhole pickup installed, so it's gig ready!
Includes a non original hard shell case.
