This 1965 Gibson Country Western features a square-shouldered dreadnought body finished in Natural with multi-ply binding and traditional appointments. It really captures the country sound of the era with its boxy bass-forward tone. Built with a spruce top and mahogany back and sides, it follows the established construction and layout of mid-’60s Gibson flat-tops. The bridge has been reglued, and the guitar has received a partial refret, along with a maple bridge plate cap and a center seam crack repair supported by a maple cleat. Additional blemishes include a few small rim cracks on the bass side lower bout and bottom. Finish shrinkage is present along the truss rod area and heel, and the finish has been buffed.
Includes modern Gibson hard shell case.
