“Bibey wanted the mandolin to have the classic looks and sound of a Loar, but with tortoiseshell binding and antique 'burst finish. Other special appointments include the old-style flowerpot headstock inlay, hand-engraved gold-plate hardware and a stained, unfinished neck, "so it feels wonderful in any kind of weather." Bibey specified a scalloped neck extension, so the mandolin is player-friendly even for those players who have a tendency to hit the extension with the pick."
This is a beautifully spec'd Mandolin with light finish scratches throughout and small chips on 3 of the tuner buttons. There is some very slight finish checking on the treble side of the back. The neck has turned to a gloss feel from being played so it feels comfortable and fast. It has just the smallest signs of fret wear and plays great with a fantastic sound! The original signature trussrod cover is in the case.
Includes its original hard shell case.
