Condition NotesHeadstock finish touch up, light player wear but overall excellent condition for being 100+ years old
This 1918 Gibson A-style mandolin is finished in Walnut and is a well-preserved example of Gibson’s early mandolin production. The instrument retains plenty of original character, with light player wear consistent with its age. The previous tuner holes have been filled and finished over, and a new set of tuners has been installed; the Gibson logo has also been touched up or sprayed over. There is additional finish touch-up on the headstock, but the mandolin remains in excellent condition overall for an instrument more than a century old. A handsome early Gibson with a great combination of age, character, and condition.

Includes OHSC. There is also a 1938 letter from Gibson documenting the repair work.
