Description
From Gibson, is a stunning first year example of a "long guard" ES-345. The 345 was released one year after the famed ES-335, this time with upgrades such as gold plated hardware, 3-ply body binding, fingerboard binding and "split parallelogram" inlays, and the famous Gibson Stereo Varitone circuit. The neck on this example is a transitional profile, carrying attributes resembling both a 59' and 60' profile. It also retains the original "PAF" humbuckers, with only the bridge having been wax potted, and the cover removed. The other major modification is the new mono wiring harness, with the varitone completely disconnected, similar to an ES-335 of the time. Other small modifications include replaced tuner buttons and replaced screws on the neck pickup ring and pickguard. This example having undergone the right repairs and modifications, make for the perfect guitar with vintage feel and tone, and modern functionality and reliability. Comes with the original HSC.
