Description

This 1990 Gibson ES-335 Lucille in Ebony is a semi-hollow model built to B.B. King’s specifications, featuring the signature absence of f-holes and a multi-position Varitone circuit. It is equipped with a pair of Gibson humbuckers, delivering a warm, controlled response with a focused low end. The stereo/mono output and Varitone switching offer a range of tonal options beyond a standard ES-335 layout.

The ebony finish is paired with gold hardware and multi-ply binding, giving the instrument a refined appearance. Modifications are limited to shielded heat shrink applied around the wiring, with no impact on functionality. Condition is very good overall, showing light player wear consistent with regular use. Structurally, the guitar remains solid and well maintained.
