Description

This 2012 Gibson Custom Shop Paul Kossoff 1959 Les Paul Standard VOS in Faded Sunburst is built around a figured maple top over a solid mahogany body with a set mahogany neck. The finish has a lightly aged VOS treatment, giving it a soft sheen and a subtly worn-in appearance without heavy distressing. The overall construction keeps the response centered with a strong midrange character and a smooth, singing sustain.

The Kossoff-spec electronics are voiced with a slightly open top end and a focused low end, leaning into a direct, punchy response that suits the model’s intent. The neck carve follows a late-’50s profile, offering a substantial feel without being oversized.

Condition remains clean, with only light signs of handling consistent with the VOS finish. A formidable tribute to the legendary guitarist.
