This 2016 Gibson Custom Shop Les Paul Rick Nielsen Burst is a recreation of the Cheap Trick guitarist's well-known Les Paul. The guitar features a figured maple top, mahogany body and neck, and a pair of humbuckers in the traditional Les Paul configuration. A distinctive aged finish and period-inspired appointments give this example the look of a well-used vintage instrument while retaining the consistency of a modern Custom Shop build. As one of Gibson's Rick Nielsen signature recreations, this example brings together the familiar Les Paul format with details specific to one of Nielsen's best-known instruments.
