Brand new with the OHSC and COA, from Gibson:

1960 marked the last year for the original Les Paul™ Standard, which was nearly identical to a 1959 model except for a few specification changes. Most notably, it features a fast-playing slim neck profile, beloved by the many famous musicians who played ’60 Bursts, including Eric Clapton, Joe Walsh, and Paul McCartney. It also has “reflector” volume & tone knobs and wider “double-ring” tuner tips on the Kluson® machine heads. The Custom Shop 1960 Les Paul Standard Reissue is a clone of the originals, from the hide-glue construction to the chemically re-engineered plastic parts. Each one is built with extreme care, reverence, and attention to detail by expert Gibson Custom Shop craftspeople who are committed to providing an authentic vintage ownership experience.

The 1960 Les Paul Standard Reissue features a one-piece, lightweight mahogany body that is topped with a two-piece, figured maple cap that is affixed with hot hide glue. The long tenon solid mahogany neck is also affixed to the body using hide glue, has the slimmer 60s SlimTaper™ neck profile that the 1960 Les Paul Standards are famous for, and that sets them apart from their 1959 counterparts. It is fitted with an Indian rosewood fretboard with 22 authentic medium jumbo frets and adorned with aged cellulose nitrate trapezoid inlays. It is powered by a pair of unpotted Custombucker humbucking pickups with Alnico 3 magnets that are hand-wired to audio taper CTS® pots and paper-in-oil capacitors, along with a Switchcraft® 3-way pickup selector and 1/4” output jack. It also features Heavy Aging by the skilled artisans of the Murphy Lab. The Murphy Lab Heavy Aged finish treatment, paired with heavily aged hardware, simulates decades of heavy play wear, giving it the unique character, vibe, and feel of an original example from the Gibson Golden Era. An aged Lifton™ five-latch brown/pink hardshell case is also included to complete the vintage ownership experience.
