Modifications/RepairsRefret, shaved bridge and pickup spacer to lower action
The Gibson Crest is a remarkably rare model, produced from just 1969-1972, with only 56 built in '69. It was Gibson's ultra-premium offering at the time, listed at twice the price of the ES-335. It features rosewood back, sides, fretboard and tailpiece emblem and Mother of Pearl fretboard and tailpiece inlays. Our in-house repair team performed a fantastic refret, resulting in perfect playability. The bridge and space below the pickup were also shaved to yield its buttery action. The Johnny Smith pickups pristinely amplify its already special acoustic tone. Cosmetically, it remains in good shape. There is checking throughout and finish wear, but for a 55 year-old guitar it's in really great shape.
Inlcludes original Lifton HSC.
