The Fender Telecaster's reputation precedes it. 1971 was right around the time that outlaw country was rising in Nashville. 1971 is also a great time frame to get a well made Fender for a decent price before quality slipped a bit in the mid-70s; custom colors like this are always rare. A factory installed bigsby is also rare. Someone custom ordered this guitar, and must have loved it because it is in well-played, yet honest condition. This example saw heavy playwear in its life and the original Candy Apple Red has marker color touchup. This guitar sums up the glory days of the Nashville music scene.Comes with original hardshell case.
