This 1939 Martin D-18 is the kind of pre-war powerhouse that doesn’t come around often—light as a feather, dry as a bone, and alive with the kind of tone only eight decades of aging can produce. It’s got all the hallmarks of a golden-era D-18: mahogany back and sides, Adirondack spruce top, forward-shifted scalloped bracing (no popsicle brace), and the unmistakable vintage voice—woody, wide open, and endlessly dynamic.

This one’s seen its share of play, and has had the work to keep it going. The neck has been reset, and it’s been refretted for excellent playability. A new nut, saddle, and bridge pins round out the functional upgrades, while the original bridge has been cleanly reglued. There’s a professionally repaired puncture on the center of the back—structurally solid and well blended—and a strap button has been added at the heel.

No case queen here—this D-18 is the real deal with undeniable vintage wear.

Includes Gibson hard shell case.
