This 1948 Gibson SJ-200 is a superb example of Gibson's flagship flat-top, featuring a striking sunburst finish, beautifully figured maple back and sides, and a solid spruce top. With its ornate moustache bridge, engraved pickguard, and crown inlays, it captures the bold visual style of the post-war era. Tonally, it delivers the powerful projection and lush, wide-open voice that made the SJ-200 a favorite among country and western players. A true vintage classic with enduring stage presence and exceptional character. This example has undergone several thoughtful repairs aimed at preserving its original vintage character while ensuring its playability for years to come. Check out the Specs tab for the full repair history. This guitar comes with a 70s Gibson hardshell case.
