Gibson SG 1964, Cherry

This 1964 Gibson SG comes from the golden years of Gibson’s "new" double-cutaway solidbody design, with the slim body and extended upper-fret access that made the model so distinctive. The Cherry finish has aged naturally over the decades with checking and some player wear to note, and the guitar retains its original black case with gold interior. The tuners are replacement Sperzels, along with the replacement truss rod cover and strap buttons, while both pickups have been rewound and the original solder at the pickup covers and pots has been reflowed. It is a bit darker around the heel, but there is no evidence of repair or overspray. The guitar has also received a refret and new bone nut.
