Description

This 1952 Gibson Les Paul is an exceptionally early Goldtop, representing the first generation of Gibson’s solidbody electric guitar. The carved maple top, mahogany body, and distinctive trapeze bridge and tailpiece layout give it the unmistakable look of an original ’50s Les Paul. A Music City bridge has been installed, and the ground wires on the neck pickup pot and tone capacitors have been resoldered in connection with the installation of shielding tape. The guitar remains in excellent condition and retains the character and presence of one of Gibson’s earliest solidbody electrics.
