Gibson L-5CES 1969, Natural

Gibson’s flagship archtop, the L-5CES, has long set the standard for electric jazz guitars, and this 1969 example in Natural finish carries all the elegance and presence expected of the model. The carved spruce top and maple body showcase Gibson’s top-of-the-line craftsmanship of the era, with a rich acoustic resonance that translates beautifully when amplified. This guitar has had some updates over the years, including replacement knobs, pickup covers, strap buttons, and electronics work, while the original pickguard has been removed but is included in the case. Cosmetically, it remains very clean for its age with only light checking and a few finish dings to note.
