Description

When Richard Hoover and the team at Santa Cruz decide to go all out on a guitar, the product is always something special. A stellar combination of some of the most beautiful wood we have seen, combined with a classy yet tasteful aesthetic make this highly customized dreadnought as easy on the eyes as it is on the ears. Light as a feather (a rarity for Brazilian rosewood) with a slightly shallower body make this the ideal candidate for lush fingerstyle playing, as well as expressive flatpicking. The condition is about the same as it was more than ten years ago when it left the bench, only showing light signs of wear, and it has held up wonderfully with a perfect set up. It is always exciting to see Santa Cruz take a traditional design to the next level, and this guitar is proof that the classic D still has plenty to say in the modern era.
