The 2002 PRS Singlecut Dragon marked a turning point for the Dragon series, introducing the first single-cut body style while showcasing one of the most elaborate inlay designs ever offered by the company. This Whale Blue example features a carved maple top covered by an intricate dragon head inlay spanning more than ninety percent of the guitar's face, extending seamlessly onto the upper frets. Beneath the artistry is a serious instrument, built with a Brazilian rosewood neck, Brazilian rosewood fingerboard, #7 humbuckers, and PRS's stoptail bridge, combining premium materials with the company's early singlecut platform.
