This National Style O is a true piece of history, having been owned by Norman Blake and used to record Chattanooga Sugar Babe. Beautifully aged, it features an excellent patina throughout and remains remarkably original. The maple neck was finished entirely in black, including the fingerboard, to emulate ebony, with honest play wear revealing maple beneath in a few areas.
The large vintage C-shaped neck plays beautifully, and the original frets provide an easy, comfortable playing experience. Tonally, it is everything a great vintage National should be—robust, seasoned, and highly expressive, with a strong midrange presence and excellent projection.
A wonderful instrument with both exceptional musical and historical significance.
Includes the original hardshell case (OHSC).
