Description

This stunning D-28 has found its way to Carter Vintage on a 78 year journey through space and time with many chapters of its story still yet to be written. Not only does its appearance have remarkable vintage character, it offers the powerful, woody tone you can only find in Martins of the time. 1946 was one of the last years of herringbone on these original models, making this one all the more special. It's undergone a good deal of repairs throughout its life (the full list of those can be found over on the Specs tab). Our repair team performed the headstock repair in-house, and the previous repairs all seem to have been done very thoroughly and professionally, leaving this extraordinary instrument in great structural shape and ready to play.
