Here's a D-28 from 1946 in good condition with some notable repairs and age on the guitar. Herringbone D-28's of this era are extremely fine instruments that pass the test of notable bluegrassers and sultans of the stage. This particular D-28 is subject to some enhancements and repairs including the following: A replacement bridge, replacement tuners, replaced fingerboard inlays, new bone saddle, neck overspray, top overspray, a dowelled headstock break, two back cracks, a neck set and a refret. The age is still very present in this guitar and positively influences its tone. The richness of every note is noticeable from a distance and has lush overtones characteristic of Brazilian Rosewood. This guitar is freshly setup and plays incredibly well. Standard of herringbone dreadnoughts, this is a powerful instrument with motivating low end accompanied by sparkling trebles.

Comes with a modern Martin hard shell case
