A Martin D-18 sits near the top of the heap for dreadnought guitars. This example from 1950 is a great guitar for a flat picker looking for a mahogany dreadnought that achieves an almost rosewood sound in the lower register. The highs and mids are exactly what a player can expect from an excellent mahogany martin, yet the lower end references a powerful and warm low end not dissimilar from a D-28. This guitar has received a neck reset, replaced strap button, plugged jack hole and respray on the lower bout, bone saddle replacement, replaced ebony bridge pins, significant buckle rash and play wear on the top. Instruments like these inspire players and make guitar playing enjoyable for generations.
Comes with an older white Calton hard case.
