This 1969 Martin 000-28 is an exceptional player, featuring a Sitka Spruce top and stunningly grained Brazilian Rosewood back and sides. Brazilian Rosewood 000-28s were expensive for their time and are subsequentially rare, and seldom come through here. 141 000-28s were made in 1969 (the last year of Brazilian Rosewood) versus 3161 D-28s made in 1969. We love the comfortable size of 000s. It delivers a warm, responsive tone that’s perfect for any singer-songwriter, while the C/soft-V-profile neck ensures a comfortable playing experience. Over the years, this guitar has received several repairs, including a refret, neck reset, new pickguard, top overspray, several top cracks have been glued, and a replacement ebony bridge. The original nut and small rosewood bridge plate are installed (the size of the bridgeplate is similar to earlier models and not like the large ones on dreadnaughts). These meticulous restorations have preserved its playability and tone, making it a standout example of a 1969 000-28. It includes a non-original hardshell case.
