This Martin 0-21 from the early 1900s is a true player’s guitar, bearing the marks of a century of use. It has undergone several repairs, including a refret (non-bar), a very thin full light overspray (with the sides appearing fully refinished), and a 3" crack on the lower top bout with replacement binding nearby. Additionally, it has cleanly executed extensive rim crack repairs (covering the full lower waist on both bass and treble sides) with canvas sheet cleats, a replaced maple bridge plate, a sanded down popsicle brace, evidence of a plate once being on the back of the headstock, a replaced nut, and replacement pins. Despite all these modifications, it delivers a loud, full, and articulate sound, thanks to its combination of Adirondack spruce and Brazilian rosewood.
