This 1932 Martin 0-18 Shadetop is a rare and collectable lightly built small-body acoustic with the dry, immediate response that makes early ’30s Martins quite distinctive. The shadetop finish adds a subtle visual depth to the guitar’s otherwise understated appointments, pairing nicely with the worn-in character it has developed over the years. Maintenance work includes a neck reset, refret, bridge reglue, replacement saddle, and several crack repairs to the top, back, and bass side shoulder, all helping preserve the guitar’s structural integrity and playability. The neck has been lightly sanded and oversprayed, and there is a small area of finish touch-up on the treble side lower bout. Cosmetically, it shows heavy pick wear, buckle rash, and numerous dings throughout, giving it the appearance of an instrument that has seen decades of regular use while remaining carefully maintained along the way.
Includes original chipboard case.
