Modifications/RepairsRecent refret and new nut.

This very cool 1956 Gretsch Duo Jet features the early spec block inlay on a gorgeous Brazilian rosewood fretboard. The DynaSonic single coil pickups sound like classic Gretsch reference recordings. Get yourself a blue cap and rock like you're in Gene Vincent's original band; this thing's ready for you to channel your inner Cliff Gallup. Who's Cliff Gallup? Check out "Race With the Devil" by Gene Vincent and the Blue Caps. Re-fret master Dave Johnson recently worked his magic, along with fashioning a new nut for the guitar. What's better than a killer vintage guitar with new frets that plays perfectly? Not much buddy, not much. Except for the refret and new bone nut this guitar is in excellent original condition. It looks like the neck pulled up a little at the heel at one time but it's been glued and it's stable. The guitar comes with a modern hard case.
