The Gretsch Country Gentleman was first introduced in 1957. This 1968 model features a beautiful Walnut finish and a double cutaway body made of laminated maple.
The guitar is equipped with a pair of "Filter'Tron" humbucking pickups, which provide a clear and balanced sound that is well-suited to jazz, country, and rockabilly music. This model includes a mute that can be employed with a switch.
This guitar has had the foam on the mute replaced, minor binding reglue, the heel cap replaced, and binding re-bound. The guitar is well worn with years of honest playing, but feels and sounds fantastic, like a vintage Gretsch should.
