This 1964 Gretsch 6119 Chet Atkins Tennessean is a classic mid-'60s hollowbody finished in the model's distinctive walnut stain. The laminated maple body, double-cutaway design, and pair of HiLo'Tron pickups deliver the clear, articulate response that helped make the Tennessean a familiar sight during the British Invasion era and beyond. This example has received a refret, an electronics repair, and a fabricated truss rod nut to restore proper truss rod function. Light patina is present on the hardware, the binding shows cracking with some loss around the neck heel, and there are scrapes on the back, though the guitar remains notably clean overall and retains the character that makes these vintage Gretsches so appealing today.
