This 1953 Gibson Southern Jumbo in Sunburst has seen a thoughtful series of restoration and maintenance updates over its long life. It’s been completely refinished and oversprayed, now featuring a non-original banner logo on the headstock. The neck has been reset for optimal playability, and it sports a newer bridge and tuners for reliable performance. Over time, it’s worn several different pickguards, a testament to its well-played history. Retaining its original frets, this Southern Jumbo plays easily and delivers the warm, open sound that defines Gibson’s classic slope-shoulder design. Comes with a newer Gibson brand HSC.
