Melody Makers were introduced by Gibson as an even less expensive alternative to the Les Paul Junior student model, and they would be easily confused for one if the different pickguard didn't highlight the Fender-style single coil pickup, the thinner width version, with black cover (not to mention the obvious name plate below the neck). This guitar has a fantastic neck that feels like the best of Gibson from the era, and although it has plenty of wear earned over its six decades of use, the guitar is structurally in great condition, with a replaced jack as the only modifications. Includes a vintage velvet lined hardshell case.
