This 1957 Les Paul Special is a killer player in astounding condition for its age. The TV finish has aged naturally, with buckle rash on the back and scattered dings around the edges adding to its character. It’s been professionally refretted, giving it a clean playing surface while preserving the original fingerboard. The tuners were replaced at some point, as the originals were deteriorating and beginning to crumble (the originals are included in the case). The electronics and hardware remain otherwise consistent with late-’50s specs, and the instrument still feels remarkably solid in hand. Plugged in, the P-90s deliver the focused, mid-rich response that make these Specials so... special! A well-preserved example of a late-’50s Special with a few updates along the way.
Includes Stone Case Co. brown hard shell case. (The 'Burst case!)
