Although originally marketed as a less extravagant take on the Les Paul Goldtop, the Gibson Les Paul Special, without a carved and painted maple cap, is every bit as iconic to music history. A slab mahogany body and set mahogany neck, and Brazilian Rosewood board, this two P90 pickup guitar strikes a fine balance between simplicity and quality design. A range of tones can be had with the spanning position of the p90s. This particular example is a fantastic playing example with only really a changed switch washer, replaced 15th dot inlay, and replacement tuner buttons to speak of. The frets are original and would benefit from a refret for maximum potential. This guitar sounds great with low action and is ready to rock!
Modern TKL hardshell case included and original Lifton in poor condition.
