The SG body shape is iconic in the Gibson lineup. Its initial introduction under the Les Paul name was soon removed in popular diction and replaced with the SG. This particular instrument was coined as a Gibson Les Paul Junior, although many collectors know that to be the more classic "Les Paul" body shape without a maple cap. This example is lightweight and rings like a bell. This instrument is about as untouched and complete as it gets: the guitar has every original screw and the hang tags are still in the case pocket: "Mr. Dealer", "Sonomatic Strings", and "Model/Price brochure tag". This piece is in excellent shape for its age and comes with its original chipboard case.
