Description

This 1992 Gibson Chet Atkins SST features a solidbody construction with a sleek thinline profile and classic Chet Atkins appointments. It features a spruce top, mahogany body and neck, and a bound fingerboard with pearl star-shaped inlays, giving it a clean, understated aesthetic. The SST is equipped with Gibson’s piezo bridge system and onboard active electronics, delivering an acoustic-like amplified tone with excellent volume and minimal feedback. These guitars were popular among ’90s country artists for live performance, offering the character of an acoustic guitar while allowing for higher stage volume. Cosmetically, the guitar shows signs of age and use, including pickwear, finish checking, and several notable finish dings, but there is no structural damage.
