This 1959 Gibson Les Paul Junior in Cherry shows the kind of wear that comes from years of honest use, and it wears every mark well. The finish has faded and worn through in places, giving it a dry, broken-in look that matches the feel of the neck—smooth, fast, and comfortable. It’s been refretted and has a new nut, both done cleanly, making it play effortlessly up and down the board. The tuners have been replaced, and the volume pot is newer, with a bit of re-soldering visible in the control cavity. At one point, an aftermarket vibrato system was installed, but it’s since been removed, with the original tailpiece properly reinstalled—no structural issues, just the usual signs left behind.
Electronics are stable and the single dog-ear P-90 sounds just as it should: raw, punchy, and alive. There's no shortage of resonance here—this Junior rings out with surprising depth and sustain for a single-cut slab mahogany guitar. If you're looking for a clean case queen, this isn’t it. But if you're after a well-sorted '59 with character, history, and tone to spare, this one checks all the boxes. Comes with a 70's Gibson HSC.
